Accreditation Statement
The American College for Advancement in Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Statement of Need
ACAM, has taken measures to determine educational demands and has assessed the need for education in Alternative, Complementary and Integrative medicine. We do this by using online and offline learning evaluation and suggestion forms, calls for educational topics and online surveys.
Who Should Attend?
Physicians and other healthcare professionals who wish to learn, or deepen their knowledge of, the principles and applications of functional medicine and clinical nutrition/applied biochemistry, including: MDs, DOs, PAs, NDs, DCs, RDs, PhDs, LAcs, DDSs, and RNs should attend this activity.
Policy on Disclosure
As a sponsor accredited by the ACCME, ACAM adheres to Essential Areas and Policies of the ACCME. Subsequently, it is the policy of ACAM to require faculty to (1) disclose any significant financial interest or relationship with Commercial Supporters of the CME activity or the manufacturer(s) of any commercial product/service that is discussed as part of their presentation, and (2) advise the audience of unlabeled or unapproved uses of drugs or devices to which they refer in their presentation in a meaningful way.
